Event Description:
 A proclamation signed by Governor Brad Little announcing the 100th birthday of Jerome County will be read by the Jerome County Commissioners on the Courthouse front steps.  This will begin a year-long celebration in the three communities of Jerome County: Jerome, Eden, and Hazelton. A second Jerome County History book, written by Jerome County resident Linda Helms, will also be available in the spring. The Jerome County Historical Society Live History Day, June 8, will have a birthday theme as well as the Jerome County Fair in August. Other events throughout the year are being planned. At the end of the year, a time capsule will be filled and stored within the county. The public is invited to the reading of the proclamation, and later touring the Depot Museum at 212 East First Street Jerome and in the Spring touring the Idaho Farm and Ranch Museum at 520 S, 450 E of Jerome, just southeast of the Flying J at Crossroads northeast of U.S. 93 and Interstate 84.
