Job Description
Purpose:
To support the Sales Department in increasing hotel occupancy and revenues for owned and managed hotels.

Essential Functions:
  • Ensure that account files and customer contacts are maintained
  • Accurately prepare contracts as directed by Director of Sales (DOS)
  • Accurately track accounts and group results
  • Provide accurate updated information for guests through the event boards at hotels.
  • Accurately compile monthly reports by the due date.
  • Develop a positive working relationship with front office managers (FOM) at each hotel.
  • Prepare flyers, promotional items, and lists as requested by DOS to support sales efforts.
  • Participate in email correspondence as requested by DOS to support sales efforts.
  • Participate in telephone correspondence as requested by DOS to support sales efforts.
  • Record daily calls and emails in HotelSalesPro.
  • Perform computer back up of essential files on a regular basis.
  • Complete Sales Assitant Daily Task List as assigned by DOS.
  • Actively sell room nights and meeting space to potential clients.
  • Gain a working knowledge of each owned/managed hotel and promote hotel services.
  • Drive between hotels as needed to complete tasks.
Additional Duties:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, potential guests, and hotel staff and management.
  • Assist guest in an emergency situation.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by DOS or GM's
  • Maintain confidentiality about hotels, including accounts, and guests.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Physical ability to constantly converse, hear, see and key (computer); frequently stand, walk, sit, drive, reach, handle, perform fine manipulation, grasp; occasionally lift/carry 1 - 50 lbs, push/pull 1 - 50 lbs, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, perform overhead lifting, work on step stools.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well to communicate and respond to guests and customers.
  • Must be able to drive a vehicle having a valid driver's license and insurability.
  • High school education (or equivalent) required.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs and processes is required.
Salary:
Part-time Position (20 hours per week)
$9.00 / hour
Monday - Friday (No weekends)
