Re: The Farm Workforce Modernization Act Passes The House

Supporters of Immigration Reform,

Today, the United States House of Representatives passed the Farm Workforce Modernization Act (H.R. 5038) by a vote of 260 to 165!

We are one step closer to solving the labor crisis facing agriculture in Idaho. On behalf of the Idaho Dairymen's Association, I'd like to thank all of Congress for passing this critical legislation, with a special thank you to Congressman Mike Simpson for being a co-sponsor and Congressman Russ Fulcher for his support. This is a good conservative approach to fixing our immigration issues and guaranteeing a legal workforce to ensure an abundant, safe and affordable food supply.

We will keep everyone posted as the process moves to the Senate in the coming months. We cannot underscore the importance of this first step with the legislation passing the House.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out. I can be reached via email or on my cell phone at 208-308-3383.

Cheers,
