Lytle Signs is seeking a full-time Welder to join our team of employee-owners. We offer great benefits (listed below) and have Fridays off every other week! We are a solid and growing company, dedicated to customer satisfaction and excellence in the sign industry.

Schedule: We have a Friday off every other week!

Week A: Monday - Friday ->7:30am - 4PM

Week B: Monday - Thursday -> 7:30am-5pm

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Welding certification would be a plus but not required
• MIG welding experience required
• Sheetmetal Fabrication experience would be a plus
• Possess intermediate math skills
• Able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Stand and/or walk for long periods of time
• Perform repetitive motions The ability to respond quickly to sounds
• Reaching at or below shoulder level
• The ability to stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist
• Ability to operate equipment with manual dexterity, speed, accuracy, and hand/eye coordination.
• Ability to communicate clearly with staff in both verbal and written form
• Capable of reading and understanding safety manuals
• Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

• Read and follow blueprints
• Use wire-feed weld on steel and aluminum
• Assemble and tack-weld steel and aluminum frames and other component parts of sign structures in preparation for final welding
• Fabricate sheet metal parts + assembles
• Measure and mark locations for metal components on assembly table
• Lift and position metal components on assembly table using electric crane, jacks, and shims
• Clamp metal components to assembly table for welding
• Translate 2-dimensional drawings into 3-dimensional objects
• Remove rough spots from castings, using a portable powered grinder and hand file, to fit and assemble parts
• Other duties assigned by supervisor
