CSI Ranked as Top Community College in Idaho

TWIN FALLS – The College of Southern Idaho was recently ranked as the best community college in Idaho in EDsmart’s rankings of the Top 12 Best Colleges & Universities in Idaho for 2020-2021. CSI’s overall score of 97.5 landed it in 5th place overall, ahead of every public college and university in the state other than Boise State University and the University of Idaho.
EDsmart’s ranking are based upon data gathered from the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard and College Navigator websites. The data used for the rankings focused on four main areas that are important to students:
- Cost (average net price)
- Academic quality (graduation rate)
- Student satisfaction (retention rate)
- Salary after Attending (the median earnings of former students who received federal financial aid, at 10 years after entering the school)
In describing CSI, EDsmart notes that, “the school is an integral part of the economic structure of Twin Falls and is also one of the fastest-growing colleges in the state.” The group also recognized the broad array of degree and certificate options offered by CSI, both in career-technical education fields and transfer programs.
