Dot Transportation, Inc. Selected as One of the “World’s Greatest!”

Award-Winning, National TV Show’s Profile of DTI to Air on September 17

Mt. Sterling, Ill. – Dot Transportation, Inc. (DTI), the trucking affiliate of Dot Foods, Inc., North America’s largest food industry redistributor, has been selected as one of the “World’s Greatest!...” in the trucking industry and will be featured on the award-winning, national television show on Saturday, September 17, at 2:30 p.m. CST on the Bloomberg network.

“We are really excited to have been selected and profiled as an industry leader,” said Bryan Langston, DTI president.  “The people at DTI—from our drivers to all the teams that support them – are an amazing group. Being a part of the show is a fun and different way to showcase and acknowledge our people and our incredible culture at DTI. It’s the hard work of our drivers and support staff that has makes us the greatest carrier out there.”

Produced by How2Media, “World’s Greatest!...” has aired for the last 16 years highlighting the world’s greatest companies, products, places, and people. Each 30-minute show is a fast-paced tour around the world featuring behind-the-scenes footage, informative interviews, and exciting visuals. Each year, the “World’s Greatest!...” team researches more than 75,000 businesses in hundreds of industries worldwide to determine which companies are the best of the best.

The How2Media crew visited DTI’s headquarters in Mt. Sterling, Ill., in July to shoot the segment. The episode featuring DTI will air on September 17 at 2:30 CST and again on September 24 at 2:30 p.m. CST. “Tuning in on September 17 or 24 will give you a look behind the curtain at DTI, and you will see what makes us stand out from other carriers,” added Langston. “Most importantly, you’ll get a chance to meet some of the incredible people who make our company so great.”

This is the second national profile piece on DTI this year. This spring, DTI was featured on Military Makeover: Operation Career which airs on the Lifetime Network.  Hosted by Montel Williams, Military Makeover: Operation Career captures the stories of veterans who have transitioned out of the military and back to civilian life and profiles companies that support and hire them. In addition to running on the Lifetime network, it can also be seen by active-duty military members across the globe when it runs on the American Forces Network.
